The Snakeroot returns! The sinister order has resurrected an old foe of Daredevil and Elektra, one who won't rest until they're put down for good! Guest-starring the Master of Kung Fu, Shang-Chi!
Elektra is being affected by a special sai, which had become the focus of her darker emotions. Her erratic behavior convinces Nicholas Fury to have the warrior Shang-Chi bring her in. However, the Hand had caused the rebirth of Ghost Maker, a villain who had died in battle against Shang Chi.
Honor and chaos meet above and below the streets of New York as all players clash again and again for different reasons.
In a back up story, Black Widow tries to deal with the seeming death of Matt Murdock and a fellow Russian spy who can't let the past go.
