    Foggy's take on his death!

Click here, for the last DD review I did for this series! We all know Foggy is presumedly dead, but what is his take on all that has happened? Find out with this issue! Writers Mark Waid and Chris Samnee, with artwork by Samnee and Javier Rodriguez, join us on another issue!

    The Good

This was a fun story! I liked how the writers made Foggy Nelson's reflection on his apparent demise enjoyable. For an ordinary man that is best friends with a superhero, I think this issue does Foggy's character real justice. At showing both the pros, and cons, of dealing with this on a daily bases. However, that's old news, because the writers of thisversion of The Man Without Fear make DD's world so alive and interesting, it looks like you can just walk right in and live it!

The fight between DD and a C-list villain isn't anything to brag about, but the connection between Foggy and Daredevil as friends, is the highlight of this issue! I like how the writers make, both DD and Foggy Nelson, very human. While they are comic book characters, this Daredevil series has very relatable characters, and I like that in a comic book every once in a while. I like how the writers give both sides of the story, both Daredevil and Foggy; showing a completed work, instead of just one part. The back-and-forth between the two characters was great, and Ant Man had a decent role in this issue and was played off quite nicely. But the ending of this issue was really amazing! How Foggy, in the beginning of this issue, felt like no one would miss him when he was gone [and was hoping for a flashy finish like any other superhero], and how eventually got his wish in the end! It was cool to see how the writers make this about Daredevil's life and the people in it, instead of just about the character dishing out some street justice! Not many writers can pull that level of character development in a series, but I'm glad this series can! Great job writers!

The artwork is just as amazing as the writing! But, you knew that already!

    The Bad

While I enjoyed this issue's story, this feels more like a ".something" issue than a fifth issue. (i.e. Daredevil 1.5.) This issue basically interrupts the flow that the DD team had created with establishing The Man Without Fear in a new city, with new surroundings. While it does take place in the same timeline of the current events in this series, it just seems this issue could've been released as a, ".", issue; as it doesn't have anything, really, to do with moving the larger DD story forward.

    The Verdict

4 out of 5, solid issue! Until the next one which features an Original Sin tie-in!

      A bit of a let down. 0

I was a really big fan of the first 36 issue's of Mark Waid's Daredevil run, I was excited to pick up and read the issues, but now, since it started again at number 1, I've felt a bit let down. This issue is perfectly fine, it's far from a bad issue, but it felt like a bit of a waste of time, I mean it's interesting to see how they faked Foggy's death but it all felt very flat to me. Even Foggy's revelatory monologue at the end felt like it had already been done, it was one of the central confl...
