Milla's Return
I have really been enjoying Waid's run on Daredevil and it is one of the reasons I am going to give Hulk another chance when he jumps on the new Marvel NOW! series Indestructible Hulk. Less of that I have liked how this series has brought us back to seeing Matt Murdoch as a person than just Daredevil. I also like how recently we have seen a huge change in Matt and Foggy's relationship.
This issue has a client coming to what is now Nelson Attorney at Law to try and get trained to defend his sister Adele as he can't afford a lawyer and the one that was appointed to his sister is crooked and couldn't care what happens to her. He tells Foggy of how his sister is innocent and Foggy decides to take on his case as he knows he's not lying. Meanwhile Matt comes home with Kirsten but has to swiftly say goodbye when he realises his ex wife Milla Donovan, who is meant to be in a psychiatric hospital. She thinks she is still living with Matt and once she's knocked from sedatives Matt calls Foggy for help. Foggy agrees to help him if he as Daredevil helps his client. Daredevil investigates the mob connection behind Adele's bosses murder. The issue ends with a shocking discovery by Foggy.
This was a brilliant issue but not quite as good as the previous two. I really like how we see a mutual agreement between Foggy and Matt which speculates to if they will ever be friends again. I also liked how Milla was brought back into the series as I think she was one of the best parts about Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Mallev's run on Daredevil a few years back. I also liked how the issue ends with you questioning Matt's sanity, and what Milla's role (if any) will be in the series. The cover for this issue was amazing and I have always liked these types of covers throughout the series.
Final verdict. Brilliant issue in a brilliant series and I would highly recommend it. This issue has shown that when you think you know what's about to happen next, it's not always going to be what actually happens with twists when you lest expect them.
