    Irrational Spiders

    SUMMARY :  SPOILERS
The book opens with Spiderman holding Foggy out of a window, threatening him to confess to being Daredevil. Foggy stands up to him, yet in spite of Foggies lack of muscular definition, or the fact, that Spiderman knows first hand Daredevil could and would have fought him, he remains convinced.  This  puts a seed in Foggies head to pretend to be Daredevil so he can impress Karen Page.
Daredevil ( the real one swings over to the scene of the Marauders last crime, The World Trade Motors building. He learns that in the Marauders haste, he did not steal fuel to run an engine that was stolen.  So Daredevil has the bright idea ( at least it is a smart idea in a Siliver Age we have to keep the team up of Spidey and Daredevil kind of way) of going to J. Jonah Jameson.
He tells JJJ about the feul, in hopes the Marauder will attack, and he can nab him. After a brief stop at the office where we are again told ( in the same issue ) that Foggy is pretending to be Daredevil, DD heads towards the World Motors building again.
On the way he meets Spiderman,  and Spidey continues his irrational behavior of lashing out at DD for no reason, and refusing to work together.
After the fight, the two "heroes" notice a blimp going towards the WM building, and they surmise that the Marauder must be in it.  Spidey calls FIRSTIES, and he  heads off, taking down the Marauders men, only to be blinded by The Marauders "Opti Blast".
Daredevil joins the fray and The Marauder finds him to be immune to his blinding blast.
The book ends with a disguised Marauder over hearing Foggy Nelson telling Karen Page that he is Daredevil
    COVER :
This cover fares a little better than the last issue, a good action shot of Daredevil taking down the Marauder. However, it seems more like a Spiderman book with the main focus being the Spiderman signal.
      Interiors:
Once again, there is just not a lot bad you can say about classic John Romita art. He skimps on a bit of background detail here and there, but over all ... very impressive. It is sad that the most dramatic page has Spiderman acting like a douche and holding Foggy out of a window.
      STORY :
So instead of the Organizer, we have the Marauder, and to be honest, he is a better character. More interesting than the original big boss. I love the way Stan gives him an "Unstoppable" Opti Blat that can take down everyone but the hero of this book. Instead of coming up with a villain that would be a challenge for DD, it seems Stan went the other way, and wanted to show that blindness could be a boon as well as a liability.
At this point the fighting between Spiderman and Daredevil was just ridiculous, and was easily the weakest point of the book. Then the arguing over who gets to fight the Marauder first? C'mon, that was insulting to both characters.  Still, there is fun to be had here. I can recommend this one. Just with a little bit of caution.

Poor Foggy - not only does he endure the indignity of being held out of a window by Spider-man at the beginning of this issue - the webcrawler's doubting that he is in fact Daredevil due to the fact that Nelson is 'flabbier' than he would imagine the man without fear to be.  Whilst Foggy clearly carries a substantial belly later in the run, he's portrayed as positively svelte in the early issues by comparison.  With this mention of flab, though, Foggy is suddenly displayed as packing a few extra...
