PROPHET is the most notorious killer-for-hire in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic Mexico, but he undergoes a major crisis of conscience as he finds himself plagued by supernatural visions and the ability to see into the souls of others.
With the help of his mentor, the Preacher, and a beautiful woman from his past, he decides that the path to redemption lay in stopping a major drug shipment from crossing the border. Prophet plays one side against the other as he forms and breaks alliances among rival drug lords, a power-hungry general, wayward DEA operatives and a charismatic presidential candidate with a dark secret.
In his search for truth, Prophet must learn to accept his destiny: that he has been chosen by forces greater than himself to become the latest in a long line of visionary warriors.
