What the Teen Titans should be!

Meet the Danger Club! Art. The artist worked on books on Batman the Brave and the Bold, and the Supergirl Adventures book but boy does this book get gritty and he does a great job portraying the grit and violence. It's action-packed and gory. He does a good job making the characters look like actual teens. The designs are pretty cool as well. The artist does a great job portraying such a bleak world. Also the homage cover on the first page is an interesting idea and it's well done. Story. So I had been planning on picking the book up in trade, until I saw Comixology had the first issue for free so I got it. Wow! I saw a reviewer compare this to Hunger Games but as a HG fan I can tell you outside of the violence their completely different. The characters are compelling, and you root for them from the start. The book is "Watchmen" meets "Teen Titans". The plot despite being similar to the Titans is completely different and original, we know something bad is coming and no one feels safe. This issue is a great setup for the series and you'll instantly be hooked. If you are afraid this is too violent, don't worry it's not as violent as everyone is saying but violent enough. Overall: Here's my advice drop Teen Titans and pick up Danger Club you'll be glad you did!

Too violent for it's own good 0

Summary and Scans hereThe GoodArt- The opening page had a great throwback feel while the rest of the book drawn by Eric Jones is stylized with dynamic colors that add to the intensity of every scene.Story- Literally a world in which children now rule, action, sex and wanton violence to follow I’m sure. The mystery of what defeated the heroes and it’s imminent arrival on earth is intriguing to say the least! I’ll certainly stick around to see where things are headed!Characters- The personalities ...
