Dan McDaid is a comic artist and writer from the UK. He came third or possibly fourth in Comic Book Idol in 2007, and has been working pretty much solidly ever since.

He is a regular contributor to Doctor Who Magazine, earned critical approval for his art on Image Comics' Jersey Gods and failed to set the world alight with a fill-in issue on DC Comics' THUNDER Agents. In 2011 he also wrote and drew stories for the Eisner nominated Nelson, and for IDW's Doctor Who ongoing. He contributed to DC's Superman 80-page Giant.

He is currently working on titles for Oni Press, the Kickstarter project, Ashes, Richard Starkings' Elephantmen, Doctor Who Magazine and a couple of other fun projects which he is currently not at liberty to talk about. The collected 10th Doctor story arc from DWM, The Crimson Hand, which was written entirely by Dan, will finally become available in May 2012.
