    Daken: Dark Wolverine #23
    Daken: Dark Wolverine #23

    Durability

Note: A lot of Daken's durability feats can be attributed to his healing factor, but in some instances he had his healing factor stripped away. Because of that I'll place (X) next to a feat as a sign that he had no healing factor when the feat happened.

Daken endures a blast from Moses Magnum:

    Dark Wolverine #79

Daken endures an explosion and a house collapsing on him:

    Dark Wolverine #80

    Dark Wolverine #77

Daken heals from one of Gambit's attacks:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #8

Daken can't get enough explosions, apparently. This time he and Laura heal from an explosion that destroys a giant building:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #9

Daken falls into one of the Punisher's traps. He gets impaled dozens of times, and then, you guessed it, another explosion happens. Daken heals:

    FrankenCastle #19

After the impalement and explosions Daken healed from earlier, he gets smashed by a car:

Then, even after that, Daken gets electrecuted and hit by a train:

    FrankenCastle #19

Daken heals from that from all of that, fairly quickly:

    FrankenCastle #19
    FrankenCastle #19

    Pheromones

Daken has the ability to make people do whatever he wants, by manipulating their emotions through pheromones:

Daken even notes that this takes "no effort at all", when boasting to Bullseye:

    Dark Wolverine #82
    Dark Wolverine #82

Daken proves this to be true. A single use of his pheromones and he makes Bullseye feel jealous, angry and confused. He can also trigger feelings that Bullseye "didn't even know he had":

    Dark Wolverine #75
    Dark Wolverine #75

Daken calms Bullseye down with a kiss, using his pheromones in the process:

Daken can also use his pheromones to hinder his enemies. He uses it to hide his scent from Wolverine:

    Wolverine Origins #13

Daken uses his pheromones to mess with Spider-Man's spidey senses:

    The Amazing Spider-Man #597

    Claws

Daken's claws have some serious cutting power. They easily pierce Marcus:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #19
    Daken: Dark Wolverine #19

This same Marcus was no-selling bullets just minutes prior:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #19
    Daken: Dark Wolverine #19

Daken's claws can pierce through Osborn's Iron-Man suit:

    Dark Wolverine #82
    Dark Wolverine #82

They can even cut and pierce Skaar's skin:

    The Incredible Hulk #603
    The Incredible Hulk #603

Daken's claws also have the unique ability to actually cancel out healing factor for a time, due to part of the Muramasa blade being stuck to his claws at one point:

    The Incredible Hulk #603
    The Incredible Hulk #603

    Combat Skill

    Accolades

Cyber claims that Daken is more skilled than him:

    Wolverine Origins #14
    Wolverine Origins #14

Akihiro, alongside X-23, Sabertooth and Lady Deathstrike, is noted as one of the deadliest fighters in the world:

    The Wolverines #17

    Technical Skill

Daken is trained as a samurai, which besides swordplay, also includes training in archery:

    Dark Wolverine #76
    Dark Wolverine #76

Daken is trained in many martial arts, but perhaps the most noteworthy is a special technique that allows him, through skill and speed, to strike his enemies without them noticing. This also works when your enemy is looking directly at you, and you don't neccessarilly need to be much faster than your foe to use it, as seen when Daken dances around Deadpool:

    Wolverine Origins #25

Daken uses this technique to disarm Deadpool before Wade even realizes:

    Wolverine Origins #24

Daken even takes out Wolverine with this technique:

    Wolverine Origins #13

    Fights

    Vs Fodder

Daken easily takes out multiple armed assailants:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #1
    Daken: Dark Wolverine #1

Daken and X-23 fight off multiple mutants:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #9

Daken fights an Asgardian army, alongside the Dark Avengers:

    Dark Wolverine #84
    Dark Wolverine #84

Daken actually gets a pretty good body count of Asgardians, as well.

    Dark Wolverine #82

Daken, while missing an army, exhausted and did not have access to his healing factor, stomps an Ice Giant:

    The Wolverines #9

    Vs Punisher

Daken has multiple encounters with Frank Castle, the Punisher. Most of these fights are actually a prep game where the Punisher sets up traps or tries to evade/escape Daken. For the sake of simplicity I'll just list the three fights where they go head-to-head. The first is where Daken wins, successfully killing the Punisher in a bloody fight:

    Dark Reign: The List: Punisher

The second fight has Daken losing against FrankenCastle, a superhumanly strong, reanimated Punisher:

    Dark Wolverine #88

Their third fight has them both exhausted and injured, especially after a bit of a intervention by Wolverine, and has Daken winning through skill:

    FrankenCastle #20

    Vs X-23

Most of the fight happens off-screen and in a duration between two comics(X-23 #8 and Daken: Dark Wolverine #8) but we do know that the two of them seem to be on par:

    Vs Sabertooth

Again, most of the fight happens off-panel, and we only see the end, that being Daken winning:

Death of Wolverine: Logan's Legacy #1

    Vs Moon Knight

During this fight, Daken was injured, his body and mind were all but broken, his healing factor was gone, and he was hallucinating Wolverine which emotionally unbalanced him. Despite that, he still bested Moon Knight, who kept trying to use his emotional unbalance to his advantage:

    No Caption Provided

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #14

    Vs Spider-Man

Daken fights, and nearly defeats, Spider-Man, mostly by using the advantage of stealth and pheromones:

    The Amazing Spider-Man #597

    Vs Wolverine

Daken has had plenty of encounters against Wolverine during the years, and he's lost most of them. But there are two fights where he performs better than most against Logan. In their first fight, he actually beats his father:

    Wolverine Origins #13

There's also another encounter where Daken and Logan stalemate each other:

    Dark Wolverine #86

    Intelligence

Daken plays a game of analysis and deconstruction, so he knows exactly how to break his enemies down. This is a game he considers simple:

    Dark Wolverine #75
    Dark Wolverine #75

Daken takes control of every aspect of Madripoor, through his cunning and manipulation:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #7

Daken places a phone into himself, then allows himself to be captured, so his team can track the phone and find a secret lair:

    All-New Wolverine #29

Daken defeats Reed Richards by anticipating his approach to a situation, and using the heat drug that took his healing factor in order to disable him:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #22
    Daken: Dark Wolverine #22

Daken manipulates the X-men, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, leading them on a wild goose chase and playing them against each other:

    Daken: Dark Wolverine #22
    Daken: Dark Wolverine #22
    Daken: Dark Wolverine #22

Amazing work my friend. Daken is a pretty underused character and he really deserves a respect thread. Although if you don't mind me saying, I think you should use spoiler blocks when you post full page scans. Just my personal opinion for format purposes.

Nice work! Even if he does seem to have a bit of an attitude! :)

Also, I take it that Daken saying he could see Spider man's costume from a mile away was just a joke, rather than a reflection or anything giving the surprise attack away?

Thank you so much. And I have considered using spoiler blocks, but CV has been glitching for me so a lot of the time the image won't appear after you click on the Spoiler, so because of that I sorta worked like this.
