Here's to more "sibling" rivalry.

Issue #9 of Daken: Dark Wolverine.

 

The Story: Laura and Daken kill a bunch of Colcord failed experiments who are kidnapped children.The issue ends with Laura and Daken talking about their restraint and Laura and Gambit go off to Paris.

 

The Good: Still loving Checchetto's art,dark,gritty and after the xplosion I loved how the burnt bodie's of Laura and Daken looks amazing.I really found the talk about restraint to be very interesting and shows the difference between the two characters.What happens with Colcord at the end to be very interesting to Daken's on-going series.

 

The Bad: This is supposed to be Laura and Daken fighting but there isn't much of that here.So it's a letdown.

 

The Verdict: This is a great establishement to how these family members relationship and hopeully we will see more of them confronting each other in the future and it has amazing art to complement it.This is a buy.

Synopsis: Daken and X-23 puts a stop to Malcolm Colord's plans.What's Good? Both Daken and Laura unleash hell upon the failed experiments of Malcolm Colcord. While both of them haven't come on the right page with each other, they do make a good team. Daken and X-23.  Both are relatively new characters with family ties to Wolverine, with very similar struggles with inner strife.  Both have risen to mainstream prominence in their own individual series penned by Marjorie Liu.  Most importantly, both personalities collide in this crossover mini-series which comes to a close with Part 4.  Did the series live up to the potential of having these two unstoppable forces clash and, more importantly, does the mini-series end in a satisfying manner?Sibl...
