Another awesome assemblage of rare and esoteric macabre masterpieces from the 1940’s and ’50’s! This issue’s special focus is on the horror stories of Fiction House Comics, and it includes FIVE classic Ghost Gallery stories from Jumbo Comics, illustrated by Alex Blum, John Belcastro and a trio of tales drawn by future EC Comics great Jack Kamen-plus a chilling Ghost Squadron story by the inimitable Maurice Whitman AND “The Last Of The Glanamores” from Ghost Comics #6, as illustrated by Larry Woromay. But there’s LOTS more, including a trio of Pre-Code chiilers prepared for Standard/Better’s horror books: “Harvest of Death” and “Werewolf”, both drawn by Mort Meskin and George Roussos, and “That Stray Cat” by Mike Roy; “The Witches Come Out At Midnight ” (by Norman Nodel and Vince Alascia), and “The Red Spider” from Avon Publications’ City Of The Living Dead #1 and Witchcraft #3, respectively ; “The Devil’s Chair”, as drawn by Enrico Bagnoli ( originally published in St. John’s 3D House of Terror #1), plus ten more chillers: “Fair Exchange” by Bob Powell, “They Vanish At Night” from John Tartaglione, “Trick Or Treat” by Mike Sekowsky, “Maxies’ Last Fight” by Max Elkan and Mike Esposito, “The Ghost Comes Back” by Dick Ayers, “The Man Who Went Back” by Pete Tumlinson, Steve Ditko’s “The Greatest Experiment, and “How To Be a Gracious Ghost.” 140 pages of rarely-seen horror comics from the genre’s formative years, in full-story black and white reprints inside a full-color cover. Standard comic book size, saddle stitched for $29.95. Released in 2015.
