The Council of Godheads is an organization comprised of the heads/rulers, usually the sky-fathers, of the many respective mythological pantheons of gods worshiped by the Earth's various cultures.
@dewboy01: What else would they call us? They can't say just humans because there talking about all living creatures. There immortals we are mortals, don't see whats wrong with it.
@spiderbat87: Actually, a lot of them are not immortal. Most of the pantheons have superhuman longevity. Hence, they live for a long period of time but they due age. The Olympians, such as Zeus and Hercules, are actually immortal and don't age past their prime. Thor and Odin on the other hand do age. Immortality in comics is typically not being able to DIE. And by die I mean of natural causes like old age. EX: Doctor Strange is immortal in the sense he doesn't age. But he can be KILLED by an outside force. So really, most of the gods are just more powerful than us and live for extremely long periods of time. But many of them do eventually grow old. Odin is the best example of this.
