    Conan repairs the helmet his father gave for him (which was dented in The Frost Giant's Daughter), and now reunited with Niord's band of Æsir, he helps them track the fleeing Vanir raiders eastward. But no sooner do they catch their quarry than they are set upon by a new, more dangerous enemy!

    Conan and the Æsir doggedly pursue the Vanir reavers eastward. But Niord's increasing reliance on Conan does not sit well with Sjarl who along with Einar plans to deal with Conan after the Vanir are dispatched.  Issue #3 of the series is something of a transition point. The story is fairly routine, and seems to exist to help fill in the blanks in Howard's Conan stories, specifically to address how Conan came to be a prisoner of the Hyperboreans. Which is not to say it's a bad story by any means...

    Betrayers of Conan! 0

    Ack! the Betrayal! Those dogs let Conan down!Ah well, weren't for them we wouldn't be wondering how the heck Conan'll get out of this one in the next issue.It looks like Conan's travels with his new friends has come to an end. Time for Conan to move on anyway.Unreal how well this story is going. So much more enjoyable than any other Conan I have read in comic form in a long time... not that I read much, but that was most likely why!The art is still fantastic, the story of course is great. I ...
