This is the second part of the childhood of Conan stories put out in this Conan series, essentially making this 'Born on a Battlefield: Part Two.Wolves in the Woods and the Battlefield stories are both two of my favorites in the series. I kind of wish there was an entire 'young Conan' miniseries. Conan, slowly coming of age reminds me of that novel Clan of the Cave Bear where Ayla needs to learn to hunt and defend herself and such.A great series and I really like the way Greg Ruth draws the ch...

Another great story of Conan's early years. 0
Although this is the 15th issue in Dark Horse's Conan series, chronologically it's the second story in Conan's life and reading it after issue #8, 'Born on the Battlefield', but before the others is recommended. Once again writer Kurt Busiek manages to tell a Conan story that feels like it fits with the character so well that it should have been written by Robert E. Howard himself!
