    Commodore Murphy is a trillionaire who founded the Green Team. Prior to the introduction of the New 52, Commodore derived his wealth from the shipping business.


    Commodore Murphy was created by Joe Simon and Jerry Grandenetti.

    New 52

    In the New 52, Commodore Murphy is the founder of the Green Team, an organization dedicated to making the most out of his immense wealth. He is nicknamed "64" because of the 64 trillion dollars he is due to inherit when he turns 21. In the beginning of the New 52, he was in a relationship with actress, Cecilia Sunbeam, though it turns out she was unfaithful to him and has been sleeping with Commodore's best friend J.P. He formed the Green Team due to his immense attraction to the superhero business, and aspires to be one through several major purchases of high-tech gadgetry. One of his most valuable purchases was an old model of Batman's Batmobile. Mo gave him the nickname Technocrat, and the special disc that gave him a power suit, allows him to fly and shoot beams out of his hand. His suit and abilities is comparable to that of Iron Man. In one of the story arcs, is is revealed that Commodore's father, who went AWOL from his family a long time ago, was also in his own quest for superpowers. This quest led him into becoming Riot, a supervillain with a crippling disease that gave him the ability to duplicate himself.
