    From out of the dunes they appeared mysteriously, slaughtered the pick of Rommel's Afrika Korps, and disappeared again.

    There was a strange rumour among the Nazi troops that the White Shadow, as the Tuareg leader was called, was really a Commando sergeant.

    And they weren't far wrong, for here is the story of Commando sergeant Jim Hunter, leader of men and hammer of the Nazi Afrika Korps...
