    Newspaper comic strip reprints: Modesty Blaise, The Phantom, Outland, Flash Gordon, Steve Canyon, Hagar the Horrible, Bloom County. Batman cover.

    Also featuring the beginning of the Batman newspaper comic strip, written by Max Allan Collins ( Dick Tracy) and drawn by Marshall Rogers ( Batman: Strange Apparitions). Loosely based on the 1989 Batman movie, Batman has to not only deal with the bureaucratic obstruction of District Attorney Harvey Dent, but also a ruthless new vigilante known as the Catwoman.
