Transformers (1984) - The Combaticons appears in the original series. Starscream created the Combaticons after he had stolen five personality components of five renegade Decepticons from Cybertron, and put them in five military vehicles from the second world war on Earth. The Combaticon Brawl wanted to kill Starscream anyway, but Starscream was the only one who currently could give the Combaticons the energy to survive. The Combaticons obeyed Starscream, and Starscream tested their loyalty by ordering them to capture a few Transformers. Megatron and a few other Decepticons later attacked Starscream and the Combaticons, and the Constructicons had combined into Devastator to defeat Starscream and the Combaticons, however the Combaticons combined into Bruticus and overpowered Devastator and Megatron. Fortunatly for Megatron, the Stunticons had arrived, and they combined into Menasor and defeated Bruticus with a surprise attack from behind. Megatron then banished Starscream and the Combaticons from Earth and put them on an asteroid in space. In the next episode, Brawl was annoyed by Starscream's constant whining and blasted him, and then Starscream abandoned the Combaticons and flied away. Blast-Off pulled the asteroid to Cybertron in his vehicle mode however, and the Combaticons had arrived on Cybertron. Shockwave and his forces then surrounded the Combaticons, but they formed Bruticus and overpowered Shockwave's forces. Onslaught then reprogrammed the space bridge on Cybertron to pull Earth towards the Sun, and destroy every Autobot, Decepticon and human on it and have their revenge. When the Autobots and Decepticons heard about this, they made an alliance and used a space bridge to teleport to Cybertron. Then the Combaticons combined into Bruticus and overpowered the Autobots and Decepticons, but Starscream told them that they could only defeat him by blasting three weak spots on his back. They did this, and stopped the space bridge from pulling Earth to the Sun, and Earth went back to where it was, and the mission was successful. Then Megatron made it seem like he destroyed Bruticus, and the Autobots went back to Earth, however Megatron merely faked Bruticus' death, and reprogrammed him to be loyal only to Megatron, and the Combaticons continued to serve Megatron in later episodes.
Games
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (2012) - The Combaticons appears in the Fall of Cybertron game. They make a short appearance in the first chapter, combined as Bruticus. They make another appearance in the third chapter, where Brawl and Onslaught helps Starscream capture Optimus Prime and bring him to Megatron. Metroplex arrived and saved Optimus though, and killed Megatron on the way, and Starscream made himself the new leader of the Decepticons. The Combaticons appear again in the sixth chapter, after the Autobots had stolen the Decepticons' Energon supply. Onslaught made a plan to re-claim the Energon. They destroyed the bridge the Autobot transport would pass. This was successful, and they stopped the transport from moving forward, however the transport now started flying, but Swindle managed to follow with his grappling hook. Swindle and the other Combaticons manage to destroy the Autobot defenses, and they then combine into Bruticus and destroys every remaining Autobot, and then they disassemble back to the Combaticons and takes control of the transport. Bruticus damaged the transport too badly though, and the transport goes down to the ground, but they managed an controlled crash, and the Combaticons were unharmed, however half of the Energon was destroyed in the crash. This did not please Starscream, but Onslaught claimed that if the Combaticons hadn't done this, the Autobots would've claimed all the Energon. Starscream arrests the Combaticons, however this is short-lived, as Soundwave had revived Megatron in the next chapter, and Megatron defeats Starscream and re-claims leadership over the Decepticons. The Combaticons appears again in the next chapter, combining into Bruticus to clear a path for Megatron on an Autobot bridge so he could come across. The Combaticons makes a final appearance in the final chapter, where they combine into Bruticus to crush the Ark's main Energon tank. The mission was successful, but Bruticus was blasted out into space, and most likely passed through the enormous portal that most likely sent him, the Autobots and the other Decepticons to Earth. It is unknown what happened after this. All the Combaticons are available for the Multiplayer mode, Brawl being available for the Titan class, Onslaught and Swindle for the Destroyer class and Blast-Off and Vortex for the Scientist class. Brawl, Onslaught and Swindle are also playable characters in the Escalation mode.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (2014) - The Combaticons appears in Rise of the Dark Spark. The Cybertron-part takes place after War for Cybertron, but before Fall of Cybertron, while the Earth-part takes place in a different Universe. The Combaticons appear in the Cybertron-part, where Swindle helps Shockwave defeat Autobot forces and arrive to Kaon, and bring the Dark Spark to Megatron. When Blast-Off and Vortex arrives in Kaon, they and the rest of the Combaticons combine to Bruticus and defeats the Autobot forces, and then they bring the Dark Spark to Megatron. All the Combaticons are playable characters in the Escalation mode.
