Looks like he's going to be Cyttorak's avatar again after Round 9's performance.
As soon as he lost the Phoenix Force he'd gone bald again...
Also get Piotr and Kitty back together, Iceman should get with Warbird.
I agree, although I'm not sure when they are getting back together.Looks like he's going to be Cyttorak's avatar again after Round 9's performance.

@Rabbitearsblog:
They may not but that is what I would want to happen.
@Rickbarry:
When possessed by Cytorrak he was bald, he gets Phoenix powers and he suddenly has hair again.
He loses Phoenix powers and is bald again.
IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE.
He very well could die. The third half of the All-New X-men cover is the extinction team. Colossus is noticeably left off the page. If you take that along with the fact that he might disappear from the recon team in october and Cain suddenly being the Juggernaut once more. It's a decent bet that Colossus might be the one that dies in AvX.
I don't know if Colossus would actually die. For one thing, he just died at the legacy virus and they would need a major character to die (which I was betting on Professor Xavier dying at the end of AvX, but that's just a hunch). Colossus might possibly show up in the X-Titles much later on.He very well could die. The third half of the All-New X-men cover is the extinction team. Colossus is noticeably left off the page. That's like what they did with Nightcrawler, only to replace him with a AOA version of himself. I hope they don't do that to Colossus and I agree that he is a very popular character, so I wonder how Marvel would be able to run the storylines without him.@Rabbitearsblog: Well that's just awful! I don't know why they would keep him off any of the teams as he's one of the more popular X-men and pretty much their only brick on the roster. I'd check out of Marvel for some time if they either kill him off or write him off.
@Rabbitearsblog: I'm sure they could run storylines without him. It's more about that Marvel Now is supposed to be this new and dynamic thing and they pretty much end/start it with making Piotr 'Walk the plank' again. I do hope I'm wrong and I certainly hope that if he lives he's not written out of the loop. The editor did seem to mention that we should 'keep our ears peeled' for him sooner rather than later.
Maybe Colossus might play a huge role later on and Marvel's just holding back that news for now. Or maybe he might get his own series (wishful thinking, wishful thinking).@Rabbitearsblog: I'm sure they could run storylines without him. @Rabbitearsblog: I doubt it. Colossus more prominent roles are in dire types of storylines. He takes a backseat in the more lighthearted tone in comics. I'll honestly be shocked if they kill him off again. Surely there's a place for him somewhere. He's the premier strongman for the X-verse!
Well, Chris Claremont's earlier run on X-Men was a bit lighthearted and he did well there. Besides, if his sister Magik is there, then there's definitely no way they can kill him off now.@Rabbitearsblog: I doubt it. Colossus more prominent roles are in dire types of storylines. Hmmm...I never thought about Legacy...@Rabbitearsblog: *Shrugs* I've no idea. I sincerely hope they put him somewhere if he doesn't die. Possibly in Uncanny Avengers or even Legacy. Surely there's a spot there for him in Legacy if he's not being put in All New X-men.
@allthatsgeek: I honestly don't think that they'll kill him off as the billing is one of "Marvel's greatest heroes" dying. While Piotr is pretty big in the X-verse he's relatively unknown outside of that circle. So I doubt it'd be him. 'Course I could be wrong. I'm still holding onto the editor from marvel saying we need to keep our ears peeled for him after AvX. Hopefully that's not misdirection.
@god_spawn: I do recall what Alonso said, but if I'm supposed to keep my ears peeled for Colossus...shouldn't I be seeing him somewhere if he lives?! The editor made a comment about other characters losing face time so I'm assuming he's going to be a mainstay member elsewhere. At least that's what I'm hoping.
*Bru fists on Emma and Scott surviving.* Hopefully the Namor triangle is finished.

Granted, I'm glad Cyclops lives.
But if Colossus dies, I'm gonna cry.
so Cyclops or Colossus?
Tough call, like making me choose between children, but I gotta say Piotr irks out the win here, he has been my favorite superhero period since I first started reading comics as a wee one.
@god_spawn:
Well, from what I've just recently read, Colossus was mandated to be put on Wood's Recon team. It's obvious there's some type of plan as he might leave the team soonish. I don't see why they'd make Wood put him on his team for a half dozen issues only to kill him off. 'Course I'm trying to use logic in the Marvel U. This is a dangerous thing.
@Rabbitearsblog: @god_spawn: @allthatsgeek: Well, on a slightly more cheerful note I found this on Tom Brevoort's formspring page. He seems to indicate Colossus isn't getting whacked.

As well as comments about future X-titles. Should I get my hopes up for some type of Colossus comic?!

Now we know what's going to happen to Colossus after AvX, he will be with Cable on X-Force. I wonder how he'll do in that book?
@allthatsgeek: @Rabbitearsblog: I checked out Gillen's formspring and it seems we have a mild surprise for Petey as well as some answers about the abrupt breakup between Kitty and himself.
http://www.formspring.me/KieronGillen/q/375592615002789080
Gillen: I think you'll be surprised where I leave him.

Gillen: I think by the end of Uncanny (or consequences) the meaning will be seen by implication.
So he's at least trying to tie up his loose ends before Bendis runs the title off in a ditch.
Me too. I hope we get to see more character development from Colossus in the future. I wonder if he will ever go back to the X-Men?@Rabbitearsblog: I certainly hope so, but I want to see him used in a more personal way to develop his character. It's nice that he's in the action (usually always is), but we've not had much development aside from Gillen over the years.
I'm in. If Gillen says we'll be surprised, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. hell, cable, forge, domino and colossus as a team alone has me on board.

From the last couple of images of him since the marvel now announcments he has his hair back and no signs of anything Juggernaut related in sight. The first being the the Cable and X Force cover and the second being the new variant cover to AvX Consequences #3 (pic below) which was just released today. So he may just be done with the juggs thing.

I would prefer it. I'm happy to see him though period in the consequences, because he has alot of loose ends to tie up in this event.
@RScottH08 said:
@Blood1991: Ya, I would to. I really felt that the whole Juggs thing really took away the compassion and gentle giant nature that made him cool.
I feel that Marvel has all, but forgotten that aspect of him. It was such a big part of his character. He was gentle, but prone to violence because he was emotional about the events going on around him. I always felt that out of every X-Man Colossus had the most emotion behind his actions.
@RScottH08 said:
@Blood1991: Couldn't have said it better myself. It also always seemed that when things would start to pick up for the character again, it would just be swept away by writer changes and what not. Hopefully we get some good classic emotion and consistency with em.
The Giant Size roster has seen hell unfortunately. Wolverine is a mess, Storm and Colossus are getting better, but still aren't quite themselves. At least Colossus has progressed forward some, but I will have to see where Cable's X-Force takes him before I say that is good or bad lol.
