Which version of Colossus do you like the best? Ultimate Colossus or 616 Colossus?
Colossus
Character » Colossus appears in 7593 issues.
Piotr Rasputin is a Russian mutant who possesses the ability to transform his body into organic steel, giving him immense strength and durability. Colossus is among the physically strongest X-Men, and is a talented artist.
Ultimate Colossus vs. 616 Colossus
I like the old 616 Colossus when he was with Excalibur(mid to late 90s I think), or even when he sided with Magneto's Acolytes for a while....

current 616. But for a long time I liked Ultimate more. Until the whole drug thing.
I know!! I read that drug issue about Colossus and I was so upset because Colossus was awesome in that series up until that point. It's like the writers were saying that everything that Ultimate Colossus did was a result of a drug he was taking.

616. Really liking what they are doing with the whole new Juggernaut power set as well. Not only for the boost in strength but also to add a bit more "rage" to his personality.
I agree! I like to see Colossus get a little mad more often, but still retain his sweet personality.
@Superskrull86: I really liked how Ultimate Colossus was like during Mark Millar's run on Ultimate X-Men.

616 even if the ultimate version was stronger the 616 is vastly more experienced.
Yeah, I really liked how the 616 version trained himself everyday and you barely see the Ultimate version really train for anything.
@Rabbitearsblog: Yea aside from Cyclops and Logan everyone of the main universes Xmen are far more serious about there training. Alothough just coming to terms with what they are and that they are soilders in a war, must be overwhelming at times. The 616 are no longer children, and have grown to better understand there roles in life. Kellen, Pixie and the other new Xmen are still as wet behind the ears as ultimate storm, colossus, and the others. Apart from Scott and Logan (who has seen his fair share of wars fought.

Yeah, that's what made the 616 universe so special. It's like the training has affected the X-Men on so many levels and it was great seeing how their training had affected them as characters.
Well Ultimate Colossus was able to put a beat down on Ultimate Thor; a feat that his 616 counterpart has yet to achieve in his respective universe.

And Ultimate Colossus was able to lift up a submarine and stop an ongoing train.
I think I enjoyed Ultimate Colossus a bit more. He seemed to be the most powerful, aside from Phoenix Force, in that universe. I think the drug thing was a bit forced and grasping at straws as they ended that arc. Hopefully they do something interesting with him being all hugeish/juggernaut like.
I do believe my favorite image of Colossus is at Emma's school in the Ultimate Universe. A massive sentinel tried to stomp him, but he tossed it away.
616.
After Millar's stopped writing Ultimate X-Men, Ult. Colossus (and a lot of the other members) sucked.
I agree. When Mark Millar wrote Ultimate Colossus, he was an awesome character, but after Mark Millar left, Ultimate Colossus just suffered as a character.616.

With drug Ultimate. Without 616
Yeah, I was wondering about how the drug story in the Ultimate Universe came about when it was never mentioned before.
What's really bad is they seemingly forgot the fact he needs the drug to move. The latest issues he has been in now show him moving without it. They just ignore what was before.@Dernman said:

That's true. I guess they wanted to leave that part of the story out of the current stories.

without the drug Ultimate Colossus was still able to halt a train, lift a submarine off of the ocean floor and beat up Ultimate Thor
@Dernman: It's a good thing they forgot to be honest. The last eight or so issues of that comic were complete trash.
@Chaos Burn: I'd forgotten about the Avengers rumble. Destroying Ultimate Thor was awesome, but the hand to the chest of Iron Man was more amusing. It knocked his boots off lmao.

Ultimate Colossus he stood up to magneto (no literrally he stood up to magneto)....and the rainbow force is with him so he's infinityX better
Oh yeah! I remembered that part! It was so awesome!!
@Dernman: I believe in that series with the drug 'banshee' Colossus used it, became stronger, then the drugs affect made him weaker when he wasn't using the drug. Before that whole arc he was insanely strong
Ultimate Thor is nothing compared to 616 Thor in terms of strength and power! Ultimate Colossus would be decimated by 616 Thor! 616 Colossus would defeat Ultimate Colossus hands down, the ultimate universe characters are a spin off of the 616 characters while a few may be stronger in some cases such as Captain America, others arent as strong look at ultimate Wolverine!
616 had the phoenix and lost a bit of control, b4 he would have win, but now not much has appeared over that issue, but still 616 has more training

year old but wrong. there was a flash back to when he was younger, he couldnt even lift his arms...so the russian mafia pushed him to use the drug.
