What are your feelings on Juggernaut Colossus? I personally am against it by all means.
Colossus
Character » Colossus appears in 7572 issues.
Piotr Rasputin is a Russian mutant who possesses the ability to transform his body into organic steel, giving him immense strength and durability. Colossus is among the physically strongest X-Men, and is a talented artist.
Feelings on Juggerlosus?
I think it won't last long because Colossus doesn't have that appetite for destruction that Cyttorak looks for and I really, really hope the term Juggerlossus doen't take off cause I felt dumb just reading it no offence
Im for it, as a fan of Colossus, itll add some spice to his character. As for Juggs, maybe we'll see.... i dunno something interesting hopefully lol
@daak1212: Why are you against it?
I'm sort of in the middle of it because I want Colossus to grow as a character, but at the same time, I don't want him to become so evil because that might lead to his death or he might become the X-Men's greatest enemy (even though I can't really see that happening and it would be too disappointing if he did become the X-Men's enemy). I guess it all depends on what the writer wants to do with Colossus right now.
@Rabbitearsblog: He has turned against the X-men before
Yeah, but not on a world threatening scale like Magneto where he might possibly kill off Magneto and try to destroy the world.
@lectriccolossus: I agree but I'm positive that Cyttorak will do his best to make him a destructive force
@lectriccolossus: I agree but I'm positive that Cyttorak will do his best to make him a destructive force
Yeah, especially since Colossus is pretty powerful and Cyttorak would definitely want that power for itself.
@lectriccolossus: It's so gimmicky and such a weird thing to do, to Spontaneuously make Colossus the new Juggernaut when there was still alot more potential with Cain. Also in the middle of a damn event of all things
I agree that they should have done more with Cain first before they decided to place this on Colossus so soon. I guess the writers really wanted to shake things up, so they kind of forced the idea about Colossus becoming the next Juggernaut a bit too soon. Maybe if they had waited a few years to do this idea, this event might have been less forced and would have made more sense in the long run.
@joshmightbe: another thing im looking forward to, the battle between his gentle nature and that "silent rage" dwelling inside of him
@daak1212: eh after reading how he received the power, it kind of made sense. Especially him taking on the role of Cytorraks avatar than Illyana.
I'm a big fan of all three characters, Colossus, Cain Marko, and Cytorrak and I feel on the fence.
They way they explained it made sense, and it's exactly the way I think Cytorrak would have gone.
They also handled the new character pretty well and made him look cool.
It's like seeing Flash Thompson as Venom now I guess. Love Eddie Brock, but the new guys interesting
and better than seeing nothing at all most of the time.

As for Cyttorak, I wouldn't say he's evil but more amoral. He doesn't care what purpose of destruction his avatar inflicts as long as it's being done in his name, so I wouldn't worry about Colossus becoming evil. I'm thinking his mind will be put on "destroy" mode. I'm guessing Cyttorak's influence raises the aggression level in his avatars.
Always been a huge fan of Colossus and Juggernaut, and there battles have been classics. That beeing said, i do have mixed feelings on the subject, while i do really want to believe it will be awsome and possibly push him even further up on the list of marvel's strongest, i just keep thinkin it is taking Peter's true identity away. and i am definetly not liking the bald look at all, he needs his hair back. anyways im still on the fence, i dont know whether to follow a fresh new start on a character and book ive always loved or consider it the end.
I am for a change for Colossus, but I have a feeling that this is going to be very temporary. Colossus needs a little change, but not sure he is right for this "mantle."
Hopefully it is temporary. Hell they for all I care can make a new character the Juggernaut. I dont think they should inject freshness into Colossus by making him the Juggernaut. Cain losing the avatar mantle is awesome and hopefully he gets to keep his hammer because of it. Colossus I just feel isnt going to be a better or cooler character because of this
OMFG what are you talking about :P ??
Does Marvel want to destroy one of the best character - Cain Marko- Juggernaut ?
When do we have old Juggernaut back ? Writers could use the incredible power of Cyttorak to increase level of power of Jugg or so, but NOT they just screwed everything...
I think its great, Colossus was getting stale for awhile. The way he got it made sense too. Cyttorak gets more exposure. I actually think so many stories can revolve around cain and peter and Cyttorak. kind of like the heralds of galactus or the gl corp.
I can't wait to see a rematch between the two. The Juggernaut Colossus rivalry is classic.( at least now its more a rivalry then a one side beating) never saw the appeal of Cain facing someone he can just walk over. Colossus and Juggs going at it all out is just a visual treat. something like Thor vs Glads. I personally know two people who didnt care about cyttorak before now asking me questions about the whole avatar thing ever since the Kuurth Colossus fight in uncanny.
I liked it briefly because I always saw this coming at some point ever since i watched Pryde of the x-men as a kid
But It won't last but it is good for him to develop so he doesn't get another kitty pryde tattoo on his chest and he will probably bond with his sister again.
I just hate that he's bald now for no reason lol

Yeah! I'm definitely looking forward to Colossus having a relationship with his sister again!

I don't really like it, I hope it's just a temporary powerup. I feel like they did this just to make colossus important or relevant to the stories again.
I agree about this. I'm more worried about what this will do to Cain Marko, the original Juggernaut and if he will ever come back to center stage again. But just wondering, what would be another way to make Colossus into a more important character again than to take on the powers of the Juggernaut?
Could Scott's X-men team get more overpowered? Magneto, Namor, Colossusnaut and Emma? Really? Wolverine got Cyclop's sloppy seconds.
In my opinion, Cain Marko will always be the definitive Juggernaut, while Piotr will forever be the sympathetic meat head. He can't even control the forces of Cytorak from taking full control of him....plus he doesn't even completely don the Juggernaut outfit (he has to activate it). At first I was excited about the prospects of him being the next Juggernaut, but after reading the uncanny x-men fear itself tie ins, I can firmly say he is an idiot. What was up with his self doubt in Uncanny X-men #543. "He is more powerful than me in all ways but one"......get over it, you're the JUGGERNAUT!
First of all, his name's not Juggerlossus. It's Colossernaut.
Second of all, he's the best thing since sliced bread(Nah, but he's pretty cool).

Wolverine always gets Cyke's sloppy seconds, ZING

@Rabbitearsblog: i cant see him being "human" again
Me neither, especially since he got more new powers.
@Rabbitearsblog: Wait what? Do you mean Cain or Piotr? Since when did Cain gain new powers post fear itself?

Oh I meant when Cain Marko was apart of a group called the Thunderbolts or maybe that was before Fear Itself. I can't remember but I might be wrong about this...
@Rabbitearsblog: Well when Cain was with the Thunderbolts (assuming his actions during Fear Itself revoked his membership), he was still the Juggernaut, albeit considerably weaker (required air, etc). It wasn't until the events of Fear Itself, that Cain actually got any new powers. From what I know, he should be a normal human being now.
