Its some stupid toy....I think it's pretty ridiculous to get all bent out of shape over something like this. I am still holding out hope.

The face reminds me of an 80s action film, but i can't put my finger on it....

I think it would be cool if most of the movie you didn't see CC's face.....ie. Helmet or Hood.....just him in the shadows would be cool

i think the best costume they could use is probably his hooded costume...anything with a helmut will look ridiculous

First, G-Man, this toy line has often represented other properties with exaggerated cartoon likenesses, and often have not resembled their "actual" counterparts.  However, I understand what you are saying.  Doesn't come close to looking like the actual character. 

Thus far, the images I've seen have shown the actors wearing black armor body suitts.  To use an actual Army term, they all appear uniform in appearance. None with exception to perhaps Snake Eyes and Baroness, at least, resemble their cartoon/comic/action figure counterparts.  As most everyone knows, each of the characters had distinct code names, gear, uniforms and costumes, personalities, etc.    

Perhaps the producers and director wanted to make the GI Joe movie a bit more "realistic".

I think people are looking at the poorly drawn picture and expecting it too look bad when in all actuality that look could be pulled off.It's no lamer than that BS Darth Vader wears.

You can get away with more in the Star Wars universe vs the G.I. Joe universe.

Okay, let's make it official.  I am now deeply concerned over "G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra."  I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.  There's been some bad images released but also some pretty decent ones.  We have yet to see what Cobra will actually look like.  We debated on whether or not he can look like he did in the cartoon and comics or would that come across as cheesey. 

Looking at the back of the box for the upcoming kiddie version of the toys, I am scared.  Sure the toys have that cutesy angle that goes along this line of toys but the concept had to come from somewhere.    Then again, Destro is also shown (on the back) with his metal helmet.  I haven't seen any images of Christopher Eccleston wearing one.

Can there be any hope left?  What is up with this Cobra?  What's going on with that mask?  What are the holes for?  Why are his eyes so bugged out and weird?  It almost makes me want to cry.
