The Rainbow Bridge Club members are the parents of The Color Guard. Much of their history would not be possible if Super-American had not shown up from the future. He saved Blue Bolt from being killed by the villain Purple Plague. That kept the hero Golden Knight from killing Purple Plague in revenge, and going to jail for his murder. That means he was free, and able to meet the divorced villainess Madame Strange, marry her, and they have a girl that grows up to be Golden Girl. Golden Girl saves the boy that would become Golden Lad thanks to her power, and they would marry, and generations down the line, their line would produce Super-American. So yes: time travel shenanigans! On top of that, if Super-American hadn't intervened, then others either wouldn't have joined the team, or wouldn't have married other members, and most of The Color Guard would never have been born. In a real time-loop brain-buster, it would have even prevented the birth of Super-American! *** Since he did come from the future and rescue Blue Bolt though, he and Blue Bolt married, and had Green Ghost and Blue Lady. But Blue Bolt died giving birth, and someone made Blue Lady disappear, telling Super-American that she died being born. Green Sorceress was Blue Bolt's sister, and she was married to Golden Archer. They had Bronze Man. She was killed by the villain, Bronze Terror. This made Bronze Man change his name to Golden Arrow. The villains Purple Plague and Black Cat (I) were married and had Purple Tigress. They split, Black Cat falls in love with White Indian. They get married, and she becomes the heroine Black Angel. They have White Panther and Black Cat (II). Purple Tigress, feeling a bit left out and angry, attacks the Color Guard. She doesn't win, but Black Cat (II) changes her name to Black Beauty. Purple Tigress joins the team after Green Ghost joins, and they become a couple. Villains Tom "Doc" Strange and Madame Strange are married, and have Silver Streak. Doc goes to prison, and Madame divorces him. She gets together with the widower Golden Archer, and they change their names to Silver Knight and Golden Knight. They have Golden Girl. Golden Girl saves a young man during a battle, winds up imparting part of her power to him, and becomes Golden Lad. He joins the team, they become a couple, will eventually get married, and their line will lead to Super-American. Having similar anger issues as those of Purple Tigress, Silver Streak attacks. When Golden Girl accepts him, welcomes him, and invites him to the team, he switches sides, and joins the team. When Doc Strange gets out of prison, he wants to see his son, Silver Streak. He adopts the identity Red Torpedo so as not to violate his parole, but winds up fighting with Golden Knight. When Silver Knight realizes what's happening, she stops the fight, convinces Golden Knight to let Red Torpedo join the RBC, and he does. He later meets new member Scarlet Phantom, they get together, get married, and they have Red Rocket and Woman in Red. Woman in Red has a boyfriend named Gunmaster who is an associate of the Color Guard, but not an official team member. *** This all makes for a very complicated tangle of siblings, half-siblings, and step-siblings, but it all works out. |
