Imagine you're twelve years old and suddenly discover that you are the returned Jesus Christ. You can turn water into wine, make the crippled walk, and perhaps even raise the dead. What do you and your family do, and how does it affect you knowing that you're destined to grow up and take part in a conflict that people have been waiting almost two thousand years for? Chosen has been described in the British press as Spider-Man meets The Book of Revelation. SFX magazine describes it as Harry Potter for Christian fundamentalists.
 

Series would be moved to Image Comics in 2009.  Now marketed as a trilogy, "Chosen" becomes Volume 1 of Mark Millar's and Peter Gross' American Jesus series.

There are two types of Mark Millar stories: The pyrotechnic superhero stuff we all know and love him for and then the smart books he doesn't write enough of.  The later is why Mark Millar is to Grant Morrison what Neil Gaiman is to Alan Moore.  Millar is a Jedi knight and he has a mission in this series.  This mission is to make you think about Jesus and what he means to us as humans.  You don't have to be Christian or Catholic or whatever to know the story of Jesus and Millar plays on our knowl...
