    Origin

    Ch'od is one of the founding members of the Starjammers. Despite his appearance he is usually friendly. He was once a slave of the Shi'ar Emperor D'ken until Corsair led a rebellion. Ch'od has been with the Starjammers as they helped Professor X gain a new body and while they fought the Brood. The Starjammers have the trust of the X-men and the Avengers

    Creation

    Ch'od was created by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum in 1977 and first appeared in X-Men # 104.

    Powers and Abilities

    Ch'od  has superhuman strength and his thick, scaly hide provides him with enhanced durability. Ch'od  has claws. Additionally, his saurid brain provides him with a degree of resistance to telepathic attacks. Ch'od is an experienced starship pilot and mechanic, hand-to-hand combatant, marksman and swordsman. He wields a variety of extraterrestrial weapons including energy rifles, swords and battle-axes.

    He appears as part of Starjammers along with Deathbird (leaderess), Hepzibah, Raza and Christopher Summers (former member). He first appears in the inital riot that led the creation of the group: The Starjammers. This group helped Gambti and the Externals to find and steal the Mk´raan Crystal in the Shi´ar Empire.
