The main protagonist and hero of the Dragon Ball manga series and animated television series created by Akira Toriyama. He is one of the survivors of the extinct Saiyan race. He was sent as a baby to planet Earth in order to destroy it. When he arrived he was a violent kid, due to his warrior nature. However, he suffered an accident which made him lose his memory. He became a kind and calm kid. Trained, he became a talented martial artist and world's greatest defender.
Vegeta, formerly the Prince of all Saiyans, was previously a supervillain who later evolved into an anti-hero and eventually a hero through the duration of the DragonBall franchise. An exceptional fighting prodigy, Vegeta has trained himself since a young age; and has always had natural talents in martial arts and chi control. He is among the last surviving pure Saiyans from the planet Vegeta. Vegeta's obsession to surpass Goku is among the key traits to his character.
Frieza is an evil alien tyrant from the Dragon Ball Universe, once the ruler of the North Galaxy and responsible for the destruction of the Saiyan homeworld, Vegeta. He has earned a reputation for being very powerful and feared throughout Universe 7. He was greedy and only wanted to rule and live forever. He was eventually defeated by Goku and killed by Trunks. Since being revived twice as Golden Frieza, he has become one of the most powerful beings in the universe and the most recurring villain.
Ichigo Kurosaki is a human Substitute Soul Reaper for the Soul Society, who protects his friends and family above all else. Unlike most characters he really doesn't have an end goal. Ichigo will still protect everything he cares for even at the cost of his life and/or amazing powers. He was unsure of his powers and job but has come to embrace them as a part of himself and uses those powers for the greater good.
Naruto Uzumaki is a hyper-active ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village and a member of Team 7, son of the Fourth Hokage and Kushina Uzumaki. Shortly after his birth, the Nine-Tailed Fox was sealed inside of him, but this was kept a secret from him for years. He has now achieved his dreams and became Konoha's Seventh Hokage. He also has a wife (Hinata) and two children (Himawari and Boruto).
Tsunade is one of the legendary Sannin. Granddaughter and grandniece of Konoha's First and Second Hokage. She is famed as the world's strongest kunoichi and its greatest medical-ninja. She was the Leaf Village's Fifth Hokage. Her teacher was the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Kenshin is a wandering swordsman who wields a "reverse bladed sword." He has sworn never to kill again after he ended his assassin career during the Tokugawa War.
He is the youngest State Alchemist in the Amestrian Military, which he joined at 12 years old. His right arm and left leg are automail, which are metal prosthetics. During Fullmetal Alchemist, he and his brother Alphonse Elric search for the legendary Philosopher's Stone in order to recover their bodies.

Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist in One Piece and captain of the increasingly infamous and powerful Straw Hat Pirates. He ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit that changed his body to rubber. His dream is to find the legendary One Piece and become Pirate King. He has made quite a name for himself around the world and has a bounty on his head to match - 1,500,000,000 Berries. Despite his naive attitude, he is an amazing leader who the Straw Hats follow with pride.
Roronoa Zoro is the swordsman, first member and Vice Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. He uses the Santoryu-style (Three Sword Style) of sword combat and aims to become the world's greatest swordsman. He has a bounty of 320,000,000 berries and is one of the eleven supernova rookies of the 'Worst Generation' of pirates.
Usopp is the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates who is famous for frequently lying. He wants to be a great warrior of the sea.
The protagonist of Death Note, Light is an extremely intelligent but bored 17-year old student. When he finds the Death Note, he makes it his goal to cleanse the world of evil and become the New God of this world.

Sanji Vinsmoke is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates and lover of all things women. His dream is to find the All Blue of the sea. His bounty is currently 330,000,000 beri.
Shishio was an assassin hitokiri during the Meiji era. He was possibly the only man to be able to defeat Battousai, and was thought killed during that war.
Nico Robin is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates, who has the powers of the Bloom-Bloom Devil Fruit. Once an officer of the evil Baroque Works Organization, Robin left them and joined the Straw Hats. She currently has a bounty 130,000,000 beri.
Tony Tony Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates. He was a normal reindeer until he ate the Human-Human Fruit, which allows him to talk and transform.
Ryuk is a shinigami with a Death Note, who supplied his to Light Yagami. He is strange, and likes apples. Throughout the Death Note series he is obligated to follow Light everywhere.
