    The Challengers of the Unknown were one of Jack Kirby's most overlooked creations at D.C. Basically a rough draft for The Fantastic Four, it was one of the first super teams to feature family/team dynamics that would eventually lead to such popular titles in the 1980s as the X-Men and the Teen Titans.  This particular issue - from the late 70s is a good example of comics on the cusp of the wonderful 1980s.
