Business Club
Early in Spider-Man's career, the Century Club was a place where J.Jonah Jameson, Norman Osborn, and other fellow wealthy socialites liked to relax and get together to discuss business.
It was here that the original Hobgoblin, Roderick Kingsley, tried to blackmail many of its members with key information he held on them, such as knowing J.Jonah Jameson funded the creation of the Scorpion, and that Harry Osborn's father was the original Green Goblin. In order to fool the crowd into thinking that he was not the Hobgoblin, Roderick had his brother Daniel stand in for him while he was in his Hobgoblin disguise. The blackmail scheme was undone by Spider-Man, yet, J.Jonah Jameson felt he owed the public the truth, so he published a story detailing his role in the Scorpion's creation, and stepped down as the Daily Bugle's Editor in Chief. He gave the position to Robbie Robertson, although Jameson remained the Bugle's publisher, however.
