AP Films was Gerry Anderson's production company, specialising in creating children's shows starring characters portrayed by puppets, a process Anderson termed "Supermarionation." Having previously licensed Polystyle's TV Comic to publish tie-in strips, in January 1965 AP Films struck a deal with City Magazines to create TV Century 21, effectively a house magazine featuring strips of AP Films' various properties.
