    Never have I ever....

The issue begins with a moment that shall never be forgotten, Catwoman breaking into a convenience to steal a pregnancy test. We are finally shown the moment when Selina Kyle discovers her life will be changed forever. I quite enjoyed the choice of thievery to add the Catwoman edge we all love and crave. A nice transition as well into Selina's home life with her child, I believe us seeing the drastic change in her lifestyle was a slightly cliche, yet comforting transition. The real beauty of this issue does not begin until after Selina's scene. We are once again taken back to Holly, as she had been captured in the previous issue by Selina's old foe. Holly now laying tied up and unmasked at the edge of the building is forced into a situation of desperation. Anyone who knows me on this site has probably noticed I have an obsession with the concept of desperation and how the human mind reacts to such things. At this moment Holly acts on her fight instinct (since her flight option has been disabled) leaving herself caught on camera and making a bloody mess of a man. The following scenes show us, once again in such an incredibly written manner, We not only see the inner struggle of Holly (as well as see her cute purple haired girlfriend) beginning with when she hits the guy and then jumps off the building injured lost and searching for help. When she does not call Selina for advice, I simply fell in love. The way they use this to not only express how strong Holly is trying to be for Selina, but also how much of a normal life the previous Catwoman is trying to have. Often with stand ins this is not done well enough. So rather than bringing the Cat back, we are granted yet another lovable plot twist, Wildcat will be her mentor. (I am a fan of him so I am very bias here) The moment when my love for this issue truly began is when Holly makes the call. She is crying on the bathroom floor covered in her blood as well as others, lost and confused.Turmoil like this is why I love Gotham.  Slam's plotline continues with another bring back from the previous catwoman, the incident with Black Mask and his murder. Holly is now carrying this burden maybe even a little unknowingly, just by putting the mask on, since Catwoman is being blamed for the murder. The beauty of it all is the ending. Holly being caught on tape, and Selina witnessing the video, these seemingly unrelated  circumstances and the pure emotions shown through out this whole issue are amazing.

All I see is good in this issue, from character development to how the plot is delivered. I applaud this issue.
