    Paying Homage to the Past

The Silver Age Huntress was Bruce and Selena's daughter but after Crisis on Infinity Earths her background was rewritten and the family connection was gone.  Still this issue stands out among many other notables in this series for pairing the two of them up.  They coincidentally take own the same drug house, but then have a difference of opinion on what to do with the money.  Selena sells Helena on a bigger score, taking down the Cartel's Gotham stronghold.  Selena is after fun and money, Helena is after revenge and money (though she intends to give it to charity.)  There stand-off results in probably the first time they shared the same panels since they shared DNA.  My favourite was this one (the parts on the sides that is):

Once they agree to work together they decide on a plan to storm the stronghold.  A lot of the Catwoman series dealt with either crime capers or international intrigue, but this one reminded me more of a cop show.  The two purple clad femme fatales work out a strategy that proves you don't need a SWAT team when you have Catwoman and the Huntress.  Their plan works, though of course not flawlessly which sets up the action for the next issue.  That this issue shows their long overdue reunion gets top marks for me, if only because of sentimentality.
