Too high expectations
Miles and Ganke are walking through Brooklyn discussing why Miles dad hates superheros, when Miles bring up seeing Galactus(at the end of Age of Ultron), but Ganke doesnt fully seem to believe him.
That is, until Galactus shows up and starts wreaking havoc. Ganke insists that Miles suits up, and does something about it, but Miles remarks about what could he possibly do against Galactus, but suits up anyway. He tries to keep people out of harms way, as he is also freaking out at the same time, wondering where the hell the Ultimates are.
Cut to S.H.I.E.L.D where Monica Chang enlighten people about how shitty the situation is, and they fire some weapon against Galactus, which has no effect. They call on the Ultimates, and they try their best trying to damage Galactus, but they don´t manage to damage him either. The issue ends with Tony finding out he is from a different universe.
I gotta say, after all that excellent build up in Hunger, I´m a little bit dissapointed in how this starts out. It´s not necessarily bad, I just think it could have been better. But this is just the first issue, there is still time to improve the story.
Bagley is a pretty good artist, but his Miles and Ganke looks a bit off to me. Though that could just be because it´s the first time we´ve seen him draw them, I´ll probably get used to it eventually. When Miles was in the suit though, it looked much better. Hope the next issue is better!
