    Film star of the 1930's and 40's.
    Born Archibald Alec Leach, he changed his name when he moved to Hollywood.
    He had a troubled childhood and literally ran away with a circus, it was there that he perfected his comedic timing and learned how to use his body to convey emotion.
    Well known for his stylish and charming portrayals, mostly in romantic comedies.
    He was one of Hollywood's biggest stars and remains an Icon to this day.
    He worked with Howard Hawkes and Alfred Hitchcock on several occasions.
    Films include; To Catch a Thief, The Philadelphia Story, Bringing Up Baby, North by Northwest, and Notorious.
    He retired from movies in the 60's, and spent the last years of his life on the Board of Directors of Faberge, famous for their jewel studded eggs.
    He also started doing a one man show, "A Conversation with Cary Grant" travelling around the United States showing clips of his movies, and answering audience questions about "that Cary Grant Character" he played.
    It was before one of these shows on November 29 1986 that he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and died in Iowa.
    He never really liked acting and looked upon it more as a job then as an art form or sacred craft.
