It isn't breaking new ground for female characters in Marvel. She-hulk and Titania have been in the 100+ class for years, now Betty Ross is in there too.

    Plus, Carol's always been powerful.

I guess it's cool to see the character get respect from the writers, but aside from that, it's not really a big deal imo.

it's great because carol is finally a+100 tonner, current She-Hulk struggled with 85 tons,so current Carol is stronger than current Jennifer.

@linkjt: I posted this awhile ago in another thread. I'm glad someone else caught on to this. A NY subway car weighs about 40 tons at least unloaded and she picked up and dragged two of them with a brain tumor.

This is an out-of-context feat though. I can't reasonably assume she is 100+ tons when I can't be sure what she is lifting is actually 100+ tons.

Yeah, I know Yahoo exists. But I don't know if this is a boxcar or a locomotive.

Yeah. Box cars can weight like...2 tons. Most modern locomotives weight 200 and the heaviest in the world is like 600.

Detail and context is pretty important here in quantifying.

Okay if those boxcars only weigh 30 tons, then she lifted approximately 60 tons, give or take a few tons for the people and she is only bracing the full weight of the first car, not the second. So it's less than 60 tons. That's not a strength upgrade.

@erik: subway cars actually weigh more than boxcars by 10-15 tons unloaded the first page actually shows the second car off the ground so she lifted it by it being connected to the first car. That's a very unbalanced load she's carrying in a weakened state.

Even assuming the largest estimate you gave, that's still 45 tons each and still only lifting one fully. The other is reduced by approximately half. That makes the feat less than 70 tons.

When did she struggle with 85 tons?

When the FF were looking for temporary replacements (when they recruited She-hulk, Medusa, Scott Lang, etc), she was lifting Ben's workout weight with one hand.

the point is that currently SheHulk is not as strong as she used to be,Marvel has never had a reboot but all their characters have had different level of power through the years, like Thor who is not as powerful now as classic Thor,Ms Marvel is way more powerful now than classic Ms Marvel, and now She-Hulk is not as powerful as she was years ago.

well, her movie will be out in 10 months so they will beef her up in the comics I guess.

Celestials are 2000 feet tall and they weight immensely so it's her best lifting feat.

not to mention she was slowing them down and pushing them away from people when they were falling which is even more impressive.
