Big green versus Marv the mean!

Issue #2 in the Captain Marvel, Genis-Vell saga. Hailing from the early 2000's, Marvel decided it was time to revive Captain Marvel, and who better to do it than Genis-Vell, Mar-Vell's cloned son. Like his predecessor, Genis too was fused to Rick Jones, now A-bomb.

Taking place in the Canadian outback, Marlow and freinds are trying to make a T.V special when Rick, back in Marlows comic shop, here's that they're in search of a monster. He slams the Nega-bands together and he's off. Upon arrival, he faces the Hulk, thinking that he's the monster everyone's been talking about. While in the backwoods, Marlow's freind Lorraine meets her end, while back in Rick's apartment, Moondragon searches for him.  Once the Hulk gains the upper hand, Rick decides that the only way to deal with him is to revert back to his original form, and talk the Hulk down. After doing so, it's revealed that the Wendigo is the monster everyone's been talking about, and before Rick can slam the bands together, the Wendigo grabs his arm and hoists him up, preventing him from changing.

A good read. it scores a 3 in my book, making it average. Good artwork from the early 2000's, and the story is good. Genis-Vell can never fill the hole that Mar-Vell left, but he does a good job trying. This being way before his Thunder-bolts days where he went looney and Zemo had to put him down. So, go pick it up, and as always, enjoy, and easy readings.
