Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.

    I like that if it happened a decade ago thing. Spectacular reasoning. If it happened two decades ago- "Do you even know what NES stands for? Ever tried ham radio and said 10-4 good buddy? Whens the last time you watched the A-Team or Differnt Strokes?" Three decades ago, "whens the last time you went to a roller rink? Or snorted coke while listening to disco on an 8-track?
