A new Captain America: The First Avenger TV spot has surfaced. You might say there's a tiny spoiler in this but this is something shown on television.

So the question is, when does this take place in the movie?

Awesome.  Knew it was going to happen but disappointed they put it in a commercial.

My guess is they put it at the beginning and then flashbacked to show his story. Makes sense to me.

I got chills! Ha!  Get it?

Anyway, there's already 1 Critic Review out for Captain America by Hubpages and the reviewer gave it a 90 / 100.

As far as I'm concerned, there aren't enough superhero and comic book movies, so when a new one comes out, I'm as happy as a hairless cat on a warm radiator. I just want everyone to know that I would never put a hairless cat on a hot radiator. I'm just saying that, under normal circumstances, a hairless cat is extremely happy on a warm radiator, which is how I felt about "Captain America: The First Avenger".

Everyone will almost certainly enjoy the chemistry between Captain America and his sidekicks: Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Union Jack (JJ Field) and Dum Dum Dungan (Neal McDonough). Steve is friends with Bucky before he hunks out, so it's great that fame doesn't ruin their friendship. They're just so wonderful together, providing not only physical support, but emotional support too. It's really a rare film that not only allows men to be men, but to also show their caring, understanding side.

So you're probably wondering how the Captain will make it to "The Avengers" if he's alive in the 1940's and "Iron Man" is in the present day. Well, the Captain is frozen and the Incredible Hulk shakes him loose in the arctic (not in this movie, but it's on the Incredible Hulk DVD in a cut scene). The movie actually opens in present day with the discovery of a bomber frozen in the Arctic. I won't say anymore and ruin things for anyone, but as you can see, the filmmakers have been planning this all out and it sounds awesome.

While you're waiting for " The Avengers", "Captain America: The First Avenger" will make that time pass so quick, you won't even realize there's a gap between the two. I wish there was a word that doubled the value of awesome because that's the word I'd use to describe "Captain America". For right now, I'll just have to use "Awesomeawesome".

Still a little worried that Captain America opens the weekend after HP8, and all past HP films have a record of placing #1 at least 2 weekends in a row. Not even Disney's Tangled (last year) could trump HP's 2nd week.

OMG I saw that yesterday and wanted to post it on here but couldn't find a source to link it from! I haven't watched this posted video but I'm guessing its the one that shows him frozen in ice. I thought it was the old Dark of the Moon trailer then saw that shield. Epic isn't it? Bet they show that at the beginning of the movie and the rest is a flashback. Calling it. EDIT: Yep I was right but for the record I saw it first.

I would worry about that too, but you have to look at what movies opened the second week of the Potter movies, if its something that doesn't have the hype of Captain America it doesn't surprise me that they don't do that well. But considering how much hype and anticipation there are for this movie I think it could actually give Potter a run for its money.

it could be 1) the opening before a flashback, 2) after the climax, showing him waking up in the crapsack future, or 3) the post-credits teaser for the Avengers.

Posted a review already by a Critic who already saw the film, and she says it's the opening after giving it a 9/10:

It will either be at the end of the movie, after he fought in WWII. As just like a flash forward to modern times thingy, or at the beginning and the rest of the story will be a flashback.

Either way it is not really a spoiler since anyone that knows Caps story knows that this will happen at some point in the movie, or that he will have to come to modern times somehow to join the Avengers.
