    Trial Part 2

Well, Bucky has turned himself in for crimes committed as the Winter Soldier.  He's stuck in jail and Steve Rogers is trying to organize his defense.  This storyline is quickly becoming very engrossing.  With the other plot line that's taking place, within the Kurtzberg Institution, I'm excited to see where this tale leads us.  Basically, the inmates have taken over the asylum!
There are a couple of things that caught my attention here that I thought were interesting statements.  Now, whether they were meant to be that, I may never know.   The first is the bit with the two guards watching the coverage on television.  One makes the comment to "put 'im in the chair already".  He's got a preconceived notion of Bucky's guilt and/or innocence just based on the press coverage.  How often does that actually happen in real life.  Much too often.  They other is Bucky's comment about not being in the general population.  Is that for his protection or theirs.  I'm sure he'd be a target in prison.  Who wouldn't like to take a shot at him and really gain some status?
This story does read like an episode of Law and Order as opposed to a super hero book.  It's a fun change of pace.  The writer(s) are doing a great job of piecing this together and making me excited to see what's on the next page.  I'm fascinated with Bucky in his cell... how he talks to himself... trying to figure things out in his own mind... his place in things.  Good stuff.
    It's a solid 4.5.  Jump on board.

Bucky Barnes is on trial for his crimes as Winter Soldier as he sits in his jail cell with his depowered cyber-arm. The daughter of Red Skull rises to power.  The Good This reads less like a super-hero book and more of a gritty crime book with super-heroes in it, and it's phenomenal. Prior to this storyline, the book had a few not-so-great issues, but this story puts the book back on par with what the series once was. The whole idea of Bucky going on trial for his crimes as the brainwashed ...

Whoever complains about the pace of this arc story failed in capturing the true essence of the story being unfolded by Brubaker, because what he´s doing is divide the story in three fronts here, like in a war: first, he´s showing Bucky in prison, separated from the regular inmates, despite having his prosthetic arm removed of it´s strength, but fighting an inner battle, trying to prove his own value (something that Brubaker is doing with this character since he accepted the burden of the uniform...
