One Nation
We are back in Centerville and Cap is faced with a terrorist situation. This second issue of the series once again left me feeling a little cheated. There's not a lot of story as far as I'm concerned. Most of the story is painted out with pictures and not a lot of verbiage to go with it. There's entire pages with no more than 8-10 words on them. Don't get me wrong, I really like good art and this issue has it... but I want a story to go along with it. I want to understand the characters, know what they are thinking and feeling... this does not give that to me. I know what's going on with Cap, but I don't get a feel for the other characters in the issue. I see them, get a few words out of their mouths, but nothing deeper. I guess what I'm saying is, I don't think there's much for character development here.
There terrorist in this issue seem a little cliche to me. There's not depth to them at all.
Only two issues in and I'm staring to wonder if I want to continue reading the others that I've purchased. I guess on consolation, they go fast and it won't take me long to get them done. But, that's not why I got them... I wanted to get something that would take my imagination away and leave me satisfied... I hope this title gets better.
