    Captain Ahax is a sea captain who has had the misfortune to experience one of Groo's unique abilities one time too many. Any ship which Groo enters sinks sooner or later. After so many shipwrecks, Ahax was driven insane. While able to recover with time, every new encounter with Groo has the same effect.
