Recovering from the head injury inflicted by Daniel Grey, Morley sets about solving the mystery as best he can. Visiting Grey's wife, who is offering a $2000 reward for his return, Morley learns that he has disappeared before. Morley's worst suspicions are confirmed when, peering into the Cancertown version of Grey's office, he finds the man's links with Cancertown are just as strong as his own.
