Gerard Butler if he officially does not do Captain Britain.
Cable
Character » Cable appears in 3590 issues.
The once-mysterious Cable (a.k.a. Nathan Summers) is Cyclops' time-traveling son who was infected with the deadly techno-organic virus during his infancy, which he keeps at bay using his advanced psionic powers. At one time a founding member and leader of the militant team called X-Force, previously known as the New Mutants, Cable takes the aimless youths under his wing and whips them into fighting shape in order to prepare them for future threats.
Who could Play Cable?
" Ok with the rumors starting.....who could play Cable? We have heard Bruce Willis on CV so far....who else?Git it in one...top choice. Neal McDonough and has the ability to pull it off.
My vote.

I think out of all the nominations I would go with Bruce Willis, he's old.. but he doesn't look to old and heck Cable is supposed to be an older dude who time travels and all that weird stuff. The only down fall for Bruce is the lack of hair.

Definitely Gerard Butler. He can carry the role and he's bankable. Throw in some Hollywood hair and make-up, give him a CG arm and a big ass gun and its gravy. It would be cool to have him cameo in a First Class movie with a young Cyclops and Phoenix. He could possibly show up in the Deadpool flick and become the hero of X4/X5. He could be the "deus ex machina" to the horrid continuity issues of the movie franchise. You know, time travel and all. He rescues Scott from "Phoenix" and brings Havok back from the '60s.
Cable was probably about 57 when he died in Second Coming. It was reported in one of the old editorials in Cable (in around the issue 30s) that Cable was in his mid to late 30s. He's only got grey hair because of the techno-virus, though this is perhaps a retcon, as I'm sure he was originally intended to be a grizzled soldier in his 40s.
Given his history, Cable would need to look like someone who would have been handsome in a different life. Mickey Rourke, a heavily made-up Neal McDonough or David Morse would be inspired choices.
Like I said in the crimson nutcase's thread about the same thing:
I think Jean Claude Van Dame would do good as cable.
Did you remember The Street Fighter Movie? If not, lucky you, but this guy played Guile. LOL No way he can do Cable with his grunts, moans and french accent.
I really do not understand why people are fan-casting these people who are 60, 70 +. Like is the white hair confusing to people? He's always had it. And I'm sorry, but most of those people are ugly AF. If this was a woman's role, all the fanboys would not stand for a below or even average looking person. He's a superhero- have him look like one. I would love Tom Hardy as Cable. I mean I would have preferred him as The Punisher, but we know that's not happening. So yeah, I'll throw my vote in for Tom.
I cannot believe no one has even mentioned adam baldwin for cable, if you don't know who he is watch chuck on Netflix and look at case, you will then understand.
@edgeworth_11: R. Lee Ermy is actually one of my old schoolmate's grandpa. He's too old and scrawny to play Cable. I'd say Tom Hardy, Stephan Lang, or some randomly tall buff guy - no acting really needed, just has to look like a Nathan and have white hair and blue eyes.
