    Melting the snow

While Irene is focused in writing Cable's chronicles, still coping with the fact that he left her behind, we finally get to see the final showdown between Cable, Pierce and Shaw in the icy mountains of Switzerland. This is the end of the six part arc story (that could easily been wraped up in three/four issues) and it was a fitting conclusion with Joe Casey delivering good action scenes, an exciting battle between Cable and Pierce and terrific characterizations of Shaw,Pierce and Cable whose portrait of messiah, soldier and the paradigm that if in doing his actions is he preventing or avoiding his dark future scenario, all of these concepts were marvelous depicted by the writer. Jose Ladrönn returns in this issue and he starts by giving us a full rotate scope of Irene's room, typing in her "pinneapple" laptop, then immersing the reader in a gorgeous scenario where Cable dives into the fray, this was really a fantastic issue in the art department, especially the battle scenes that Ladrönn got right from beginning to the end, all great stuff indeed. Cable confronting Shaw while fighting Pierce was marrow bone material, I really liked how Shaw was portraited by Casey, he really got the character right. This issue ends with a bang and proved to be a good arc story, not spetacular, blowing mind material, but very decent indeed.
