Thomas Hale owns and works at Burly Books a small bookshop in Brooklyn, New York. He was able to pay for the shop through royalties given to him by Dorothy Walker for his likeness, who wrote the Patsy Comics based on her daughter. The reprinted stories were put out by Hedy Wolf who was given the rights to the comics initially until she lost them to Patsy.
