    With the past few issues in this DC event, I've wained back and forth on whether I would continue reading it.  While the story elements featuring many of the characters has been a little intriguing, it continuously felt like a downhill struggle for any of that stuff to make any sense.  Another major complaint was the lack of incorporating more of the characters that were brought back amongst The Twelve.  Brightest Day #5 has reaffirmed my faith in this event, bringing the best issue of the serie...

    Story: Aquaman and Mera are at the scene of an oil spill caused by Mera's evil sister Siren. Aquaman starts to fight Siren and her army. At Georgetown Deadman is trying to resurrect Don Hall but some one is talking to him. The battle still rages on between Aquaman and Siren. Hawman and Hawkgirl are in the place they were last time. It seems that when they interact afectionatly they start to decay. Hawkman and Hawkgirl are caught in a war between these tiger people and these hawk people. Deadman ...

    After a slow start, issue #5 ramps up the stakes 0

    So far, Brightest Day has not lived up as a great follow up to Blackest Night. When the idea of learning more about the White Lantern and the risen 12 was proposed as the core of Brightest Day, I immediately subscribed and eagerly awaited the first issues.  After a strong issue #0, the series has gotten progressively worse from issue #1 to the poorest so far, issue #4. Firestorm and his tantrum was not very interesting or compelling and Aquaman, Mera, Hawkman and Hawkgirl moping around wonder w...
