Origin

Brad Carter is an Oscar winning Hollywood actor. You may remember his from such films as "Kong", "The Return of Kong" and "Tomorrow I'll Cry". While filming on a remote island Carter became a real hero when he rescued Nick Fury from drowning in quicksand. The island turned out to be the hideout of the megalomaniacal mad scientist Centurius. Fury convinced Carter and the film crew to help him and Jimmy Woo defeat the madman.

Brad Carter was created by the legendary Jim Steranko and first appeared in "So Shall Ye Reap... Death!" in 1968.
