We must distinguish the red series from the blue series. The red series, much more supplied, comes from the Vandersteen studios. The blue series is the result of a collaboration between Vandersteen studios and Tintin's journal (supervised by Hergé) between 1948 and 1958. In this context, Willy Vandersteen had to profoundly modify his narrative and graphic style in order to adapt the universe of Bob and Bobette.

The red series is divided into two parts. Issues 1 to 56 were originally published in duotone (black and red). Issues 57 to 66 do not exist so as not to overlap with publications in other countries. The following, published in color, is a mix of new stories and colorized republishings of old stories. The reprint ends in 1974, the stories that follow are brand new and the order of publication corresponds to the order of creation.
