Bo was a comic strip by Frank Beck (1893-1962) that ran from 1940 to 1956 and told the adventures of a dog who never seemed to have the same owner from week to week, with him sometimes in the city, or on a farm, and even a few with him as a very reluctant movie star in Hollywood.

Told in a realistic style Bo did not talk or express himself via thought balloons, he was just a lovable dog who seemed to get around a lot.

He first appeared in comics in Big Shot Comics, from minor comic book company Columbia, along with Joe Palooka, Charlie Chan, The Face, Skyman, Sparky Watts and Dixie Dugan where he ran from issue # 29 to the end of the comic with issue 104, and later in a short lived comic of his own at Charlton.
