Colonel Dickson is dying from a snake bite. Blueberry leaves Fort Navajo looking for an antidote. He has to go across the desert, where he is trapped by mexican dealers who sell weapons to the indians. He manages to escape and arrive to Tucson, where almost everybody has left in fear of the Apaches. Meanwhile, in Fort Navajo, Crowe (half indian half white) is tired of Major Bascom hatred, and embraces his indian side.
