The central battery for the Blue Lantern Rings is in itself like all other central batteries, a source of great power. Unlike the various other power batteries the Blue central battery can overcharge the rings of the various other Corps and cause them to explode. However, this is only if they get too close to it and this overcharging can potentially cause harm to the lanterns in question.
The current location of the Blue Lantern is the planet Odym.
