Origin
Blue Beetle was confessing his most recent sins to his father's grave when Skeets showed up to recruit him to help Booster Gold. Booster was targeting alien invaders that had kidnapped the Justice League. The two worked to save them, hoping to earn themselves membership. They succeeded but at the expense of Ted's Bug ship. However, the League was only interested in Ted. They needed a tech-savvy member and invited him privately. Ted turned them down so that he could keep working with Booster instead.
Their plan was to create a new agency, called Blue & Gold Restoration, to focus on the "little guy." Kord hit up his companies for philanthropy backing, but he was fired instead, due partially to the damage done when he was kidnapped by Black Mask. Meanwhile, Booster drummed up support through his extensive social media and a potential news puff piece, neither of which went entirely the way they wanted. The people in need lined up for their agency regardless.
